The Second Annual White Liquor and Dirt Tracks event is scheduled for January 22 at the Mount Airy Museum of Regional History in downtown Mount Airy. This event is part of the museum’s annual automobile racing exhibit that will be on display through July 30, 2011. All events will be held at the Mt. Airy Museum of Regional History. All Access-Pass $5
Schedule of Events:
10am - 5pm Winter cruise-in including moonshine runners and vintage race cars
11am - 12noon Racers Roundtable with drivers and officials including Bill Magnum, Jerry Hatcher, Rex White and others
12noon - 1pm Emmy winning documentary filmmaker Neal Hutcheson - The Last One - Making Moonshine in the Great Smoky Mountains (Popcorn Sutton)
1pm - 2pm Meet and Greet/ Autograph session with NASCAR legend Junior Johnson
2pm - 3pm NASCAR historian Daniel Pierce, author of the book: Real NASCAR - White Lightning, Red Clay and Big Bill France
3pm - 5pm Oldies and rock-a-billy concert with Evan Olson and Dana The new exhibit White Liquor and Dirt Tracks - Legacy of Teamwork was produced in partnership with Richard Childress Racing, Wood Brothers Racing, Hendrick Motorsports, Michael Waltrip Racing and the Richard Petty Museum. It will be open from 10am until 5pm Tuesdays - Saturdays beginning January 22, 2011 and continuing through July 30, 2011. This exhibit will focus on the team aspect of NASCAR and the legacies that many of those teams have created.
